On 12 April 1928 an expedition left from outside Parliament House, Melbourne, and returned to Melbourne on 12 September 1928. During five months the two Karrier trucks plus a support vehicle travelled around Australia across terrain often not previously visited by such heavy vehicles.
Eighty years later follow the progress of the 1928 Round Australia Expedition in an online exhibition. Sections of the story, including Expedition Daily Reports, will be gradually released following the stages and time line of the 1928 expedition.
