INTRODUCTION TO THE RHSV COLLECTIONS

The RHSV collections are of national significance. It holds one of the oldest and most extensive collections of historical manuscripts and images in the State. The library collection has built over the years to encompass books, journals, directories, registers and over 23,000 manuscript items. The image collection includes over 30,000 maps, original artworks, photographs, glass slides and postcards.

We conduct introductory tours of our collections for schools, affiliated societies and other community groups.

Times of tours

Please note that tours are only available on Wednesdays and Fridays, between the hours of 10am and 4pm.

Charges

  • Includes an introductory talk by the curator and/or collections manager on collections and/or current exhibition
  • Includes morning/afternoon tea
Affiliated societies $3.30 per head
Non-affiliated societies $5.50 per head
