General Information: We will showcase people and places from Glenthompson since the town was established in the mid 1800’s. People are welcome to contribute photos and stories to our page by submitting them to the Secretary via our email address.
Products: We can provide family history searches for a fee.

Ballarat Astronomical Society is custodian of the Ballarat Municipal Observatory. BAS provides Friday and Saturday night viewing if the weather is clear. School and other groups can be booked for Monday to Thursday.

Research, record and promote the history and heritage of the Keilor region whilst collecting, preserving, enhancing and enjoying its artefacts and memorabilia. Exhibitions, publications and a digital project is part of our agenda.
The historical society is dedicated to keep an accurate record of the district since settlement.
The Society collects and preserves documents, artefacts, memorablia and photos of historical interest relating to Phillip Island and District; maintains and staffs a museum open to the public; holds monthly meetings to which visitors are welcome.
