






Ballarat Astronomical Society is custodian of the Ballarat Municipal Observatory. BAS provides Friday and Saturday night viewing if the weather is clear. School and other groups can be booked for Monday to Thursday.

We collect, classify, conserve objects, records and museum items and host a variety of exhibitions relating to the history of the Brookton District.

Collection of photos, memorabilia, etc – preserving the history of the former City of Chelsea.

Collects and preserves the heritage of the old Shire of Cranbourne, and manages the Fisherman’s Cottage Museum complex at Tooradin, on behalf of the City of Casey.

Playing , listening and promoting music of the period 1450 – 1750.

Foster historical interest and knowledge in Foster & District; collect, preserve, catalogue and exhibit historical collection in a Museum at Foster; conduct research and publish historical material.

Preserving Geelong maritime and naval heritage in the form of artefacts, books, pictures and relevant documents.
The Society’s rooms are located in the Healesville Community Link (at the rear of the Memorial Hall), 110 River Street, Healesville. This is the same building as the library; please ask the library staff for directions once entering the building.
The purpose of the Healesville and District Historical Society Inc (founded in 1984) is to encourage and facilitate the study of the history of Healesville and district and to research, conserve, interpret and exhibit material which illustrates this history and to answer queries from the public relating to Healesville history. To this end the society shall acquire, research, conserve, interpret and exhibit material which illustrates this history.

Research, record and promote the history and heritage of the Keilor region whilst collecting, preserving, enhancing and enjoying its artefacts and memorabilia. Exhibitions, publications and a digital project is part of our agenda.

The historical society is dedicated to keep an accurate record of the district since settlement.

The Society meets four times each year with a lecture and dinner to follow.

The Society collects and preserves documents, artefacts, memorablia and photos of historical interest relating to Phillip Island and District; maintains and staffs a museum open to the public; holds monthly meetings to which visitors are welcome.
