The Falls Creek Historical Society is committed to ensure the collection, preservation and interpretation of the unique history of Falls Creek and the Bogong High Plains.
By way of interactive and informative displays and detailed archiving, they wish to stimulate community interest and involvement in telling the distinctive Alpine history. Alongside their comprehensive museum collection, they undertake artistic and diverse methods of storytelling such as curated walks, village history trails and pop up museum displays.

The Kiewa Valley Historical Society began in 1965 when a group of like-minded people from all over the Kiewa Valley met with the idea of documenting and preserving the history of the valley.
As a result , the Kiewa Valley Historical Society Inc, (K.V.H.S) was formed and thus significant, both written and artefacts, were collected and saved for future generations.

The Buchan Heritage Group operates out of the historic butter factory, which it is currently restoring in accordance with Heritage Victoria guidelines. Special displays are also featured in the Butter Factory at Easter and Christmas. The group’s archives include audio recordings of community forums on the history of different localities in the Buchan district.
The Bright & District Historical Society has a research collection available at their Bright Railway Station museum. Local tours and special events.

Paynesville Maritime Museum (PMM) is dedicated to researching, recording and retelling the maritime heritage of the village and surrounding area of Paynesville on the Gippsland Lakes in Victoria, Australia.
PMM is open on the second Sunday each month from 9.00 to 12.30. (Same day as the Community Market).
We concentrate on the activities on the area of the Gippsland Lakes close to Paynesville, which includes the building and operation of steamships, the fishing fleet and boating tourism.
