SUMMARY:OUR STORY: ABORIGINAL CHINESE PEOPLE IN AUSTRALIA
DESCRIPTION:Free Public Event: Saturday 9th July 2022\, 2pm-4pm. \nPlease join The Chinese Museum at their presentation of recent research findings followed by a panel discussion. \nRSVP via email to Alex Lashchuk: projects@chinesemuseum.com.au \nOur Story\nOur Story began with two years of research\, documentation and analyses of the rich and complex interaction between descendants of two of the world’s oldest civilisations – an intersection overlooked in the dominant White Australian discourse on the history of outside contacts with First Nations Peoples. \nWe wish to share what we have discovered on our journey so far\, providing new information from our team of researchers. \nOur Story’s research will contribute to the development of an exhibition that will travel across Australia and overseas. \nClick here for PDF version of invitation
