Leopold & District 1914-1918: commemorating Leopold Red Cross, 100 years of community service. By Pam Jennings

In 1914 the population of Leopold was 100 residents – a farming community, encompassing Wallington and Curlewis districts.  A total of 29 soldiers from our area did not come home.  The women of the district, supported by their menfolk, came together to help the war effort for the men and boys who had enlisted in the Great War.
