Description
The Charity stained glass window in St Peter’s Anglican church, in Mornington, Victoria is dedicated to the Reverend George Cox and his wife Fannie. Mr Cox had not been a vicar at St Peter’s but was closely involved with the church and its community for 25 years. Cox is remembered as a vestryman and churchwarden. He conducted baptisms, weddings and funerals; he carried out relief preaching at St Peter’s and other churches and was acknowledged as an early local historian of the district. Cox was also a noted naturalist, and member of the Field Naturalist Club of Victoria.
