The Royal Historical Society of Victoria recognises and promotes the diversity of ethnic, social and cultural groups that have lived in Victoria and contributed to the human history within its modern borders.
The RHSV always seeks to establish and maintain connection with all historical communities and societies across the State, and supports them in their activities.
The RHSV ensures that its lecture, publication, exhibition and other programmes are open to and inclusive of the diversity of the full range of Victorian historical ethnic, social and cultural groups.
RHSV public functions are customarily preceded by a statement of recognition of the traditional owners of the land on which the event is taking place.
