SHORTLIST: VIC COMMUNITY HISTORY AWARDS

The Minister for Government Services, Danny Pearson, today announced the shortlist for the 2020 Victorian Community History Awards. The full list can be viewed here. The RHSV heartily congratulates the shortlisted entrants and all other entrants – the work by the individuals and groups behind the 176 entries is impressive and to be commended.

Richard Broome, President of the RHSV commented, “It is astonishing that such a difficult time has produced the second largest number of entries to the Victorian Community History Awards in 22 years; 176 entries across all nine categories!  Many entries have multiple people involved so well over 200 creators of content from across Victoria, including authors, curators, film makers, designers, editors and publishers, have participated this year, meaning that these awards have again energised the creative sector of Victoria.”

The winners, including the overall winner of the Premier’s History Award, will be announced during History Month, October 2020.

The Victorian Community History Awards are produced by the Public Records Office Victoria in partnership with the RHSV.
