SUMMARY:R U Ready? 10 Years On
DESCRIPTION:The Wandong History Group in collaboration with the Wandong CFA would like to invite you to attend our R U Ready? 10 Years On event to be held at the Wandong Memorial Park. \nThe event has been funded by a grant from the Foundation for Rural and Regional Development (FRRR) along with a Community BBQ and entertainment being sponsored by the Mitchell Shire Council. \nThe event is designed to raise our community’s awareness and preparedness for the upcoming bushfire season and for any future emergency events.  As part of that preparedness\, the Wandong CFA will provide information and advice around ‘Knowing Your Risk’ along with fun activities for all as part of their Fire Action Week. \nThe Wandong History Group will as part of their History Week activities stage a Post Bushfire Recovery Photographic Exhibition to showcase the community’s resilience as well as screening our 2019 Commemorative DVD and unveiling a whole of Wandong Primary School artwork. \nTo further aid our community’s preparedness we will be  drawing a ballot for 100 Emergency Starter Kits to be given away to residents of Wandong Heathcote Junction.  The day should be a lot of fun as well as providing an opportunity for everyone to meet members of our emergency services\, community groups and Council. \nWe hope you will come along to this special day and would appreciate your RSVP by 16th October to: wandonghistorygroup4@gmail.com
