DESCRIPTION:Queenscliff Historical Museum presents Jazz in the Museum Musical Soiree  \n  \nJoin us for a Museum tour\, 1930s’ jazz musical performances featuring our local community band\, Shedding the Blues\, and all against a backdrop of images from Queenscliff in the 1930’s\, while enjoying a glass of bubbles or soft drink. \nJazz music was incredibly popular in the 1930’s\, and it was played in dance halls and clubs across the world\, including Australia. Queenscliff likely had its fair share of jazz bands and dance venues where people could swing to the tunes of artists like Louis Armstrong\, Duke Ellington and Benny Goodman. \nWHEN: Friday 8 September 2023\, from 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm \nWHERE: Queenscliffe Historical Museum\, at the Queenscliffe Community Hub\, 49-55 Hesse Street\, Queenscliff \nEntry $15.00 (Members QHM & National Trust).  $20 Non-Members.
