SECOND HAND BOOK
Mr E. J. Stuart explored the Western Australia the coast from Broome to Wyndham on the schooner Culwalla (captained by J. M. Johnson).
The party called at all the native mission stations on the route. Stuart and expedition member William J. Jackson took photographs and the first moving pictures of that area.
He was supported by Albert Cockram, (principal in the expedition) and Mr. M. J. Byrne (mineralogist and mining expert) and a small crew of aboriginals. The emphasis of this North-West Scientific and Exploration Expedition was to look at opportunities for industry to use the natural and trade resources of the area..
Photos include: Broome, Beagle Bay, Aborigines, Corroborees and traditional dances, Camden Harbour, Wyndham, Forrest River Mission.
