About this objectColoured drawing of a view from unpaved crossroads down to water and open green land with a long low building on the opposite edge. A man and a couple with a dog can be seen walking in the road in the foreground, and more people walking, on horseback or in carriages, in the mid-ground.
The lithograph photographed for this slide is part of a series entitled 'Sketches in Victoria' published by J. J. Blundell and advertised in May 1855.
Colonel Joseph's Anderson's property Fairlie, built on land purchased in 1846, was on the south side of the Yarra bounded by Punt Road, Clowes Street and Anderson Street.
One of the many glass slides purchased from retailers or specifically made for illustrated lectures given by Isaac Selby between c. 1930 and c. 1955 to raise money for the Old Pioneers Memorial Fund.
