Condensed from the unpublished journal of the Expedition.
Includes references to Aboriginal Australians, flying foxes, Paddy Cahill's homestead, geographical discoveries and bloodless battle of Caledon Bay.
The expedition was financed by William Orr (13 February 1843–6 February 1929) who was an Australian politician and mining prospector.
According to the Barrier Miner, Orr was 'one of the pioneers of [the] mining industry'.
