Garden Day at La Trobe’s Cottage

La Trobe's Cottage cnr Birdwood Avenue and Dallas Brooks Drive, Melboiurne, Victoria, Australia

It is 180 years since the La Trobe family arrived in Melbourne. Join us in a tour of the charming recreated garden and see the heritage plants that La Trobe favoured. Guided tours of the garden at 1.15pm, 2.15pm and 3.15pm and also of the cottage throughout the afternoon. No bookings required.

Spend your afternoon in the beautiful Domain, with a guided tour of the home of our first governor Charles Joseph La Trobe and his family. You will be able to see their elegant yet simple prefabricated house from Melbourne’s early days, surrounded by garden plants from the era. Last guided tour 3.30pm
