SECOND HAND BOOK
The Monbulk Historical Society, in conjunction with the Monbulk Football Netball Club, are producing a book that is about to be published and due for release in late July or August this year. This book is to commemorate the 125th anniversary of the Monbulk Football Netball Club 1895-2020.
The book, titled Where Hawks Fly, has been completed and is one of the largest ever produced for a local or district sporting club in Victoria. It is 560 pages and will also incorporate the history of the Monbulk Junior FC and a brief history and photos of the Monbulk Netball Club.
The book will include a historical overview of every season that the club has played and the names of around 3500 people who have been involved with the clubs over the years. It will also include all the known match results and ladders since 1895 for every grade associated with the MFNC – over 6000 match results. Most importantly it will document the valuable images from the archives of the Club and the Historical Society from the 1800s to the present. This includes all known team photos plus 100s of others and comes in at over 1170 images being reproduced throughout the book.
