LA TROBE’S GOLD AND SILVER TESTIMONIAL PIECES

La Trobe’s farewell tribute from the people of Victoria in 1853 included a superb gold cup made in Melbourne (whereabouts unknown since 1862) and a London-made spectacular silver and glass candelabrum centrepiece, now in the collection of the National Gallery of Victoria. Hear more about them and their place in history. Includes refreshments. All welcome.
